Created by Geneva's HogarthArtAtelier
Inspired by an Hermes scarf called ‘Aloha’ given to the artist 15 years ago for Christmas (hat she still has!) from her very first boss legendary AD Top 100 designer William Hodgins.
Each piece is unique in that they are all hand painted from the black ink background to the acrylic painted geometric design layered on top. The beauty of using such an organic and free flowing material such as ink is that no two paintings are ever the same, even if they have the same theme. Beginning with the ink background, done in a day long layering process to achieve depth, the artist Kahila allows the richness and fluidity of the ink to give each piece its original background. The geometric design is then sketched on top of the dried ink background. All of the acrylic paint colors used are hand-mixed by eye, adding yet another layer to the uniqueness of each particular design.

Given that the art is on paper and water based mediums are used, the paper does get a bit wavy. This is by no means considered defective of the art. It is just the nature of water based mediums.
