About My Mochila

Join us on an exhilarating journey with the Wayuu tribe, a group of indigenous people inhabiting the Guajira Peninsula in Colombia. Among the most revered skills of the Wayuus is the weaving of Mochila bags. Female artisans hand weave each bag and express their personal story in the designs and colors they use, making each bag unique from one another. This spiritual tradition has been handed down through generations and is a means of living for the tribe.
